Meet the driving force behind La Inmacualda Credit Union Ltd. success.

Yolanda L. Gomez

Manager

Yolanda L. Gomez is our Manager and has held that post since 1991. She undertook the enormous task of restoring confidence and bringing LICU to new heights of success. She invested countless hours of tireless efforts to inject new life with efficient management and consistent professionalism. Her vision and hope for a new LICU were exactly what was needed to make LICU the vibrant, flourishing institution that it is today. However, her visions are not yet fulfilled since she sees us as a seedling with the potential to grow stronger in our shares, our loan portfolio, our membership base and our general outreach of assistance to the less fortunate.

Melissa Leiva

Assistant Manager

Melissa Leiva is our Assistant Manager and has been with LICU since 1991 when a new order and management was incorporated. She is a first hand witness of the enormous transformation and growth that LICU has experienced over the last sixteen years since she was instrumental in the restructuring and rebuilding of it. Her persistence and dedication to this worthwhile institution proved to be well invested since the rewards are obvious for all to see. She is also the Accountant and ensures that all our financials are accurate, timely and in order.

Yadeli Urbina

Executive Assistant

Mrs. Yadeli Urbina is an energetic, committed, creative and caring individual who has earned much respect and admiration from all stakeholders – the membership, her colleagues, Directors and Officers, and those she liaise with on a national basis. Ms. Yadi’s innovation has positively contributed to our Credit Union’s growth and progress. Even though Ms. Yadi was employed as a Secretary on August 15, 2005, she was soon promoted to a new post as Executive Assistant because of her valuable characteristics and traits. Her colleagues unanimously recommended her to be named as a Justice of the Peace, a much needed service here at LICU. Ms. Yadi has indeed proven to be a valuable asset to LICU.

Reynaldo Novelo

Loans Officer

Reynaldo Novelo, our Loans Officer, celebrated his tenth year as a member of LICU’ family this past January 2007. His friendly and approachable demeanor makes him a favorite with our shareholders. He always has time to listen and assist our shareholders whether to process a loan or simply to make an enquiry. He is currently taking a Paralegal Course at the University of Belize so as to better assist our shareholders in the increasing legal paperwork being required. He is a recognized person in our community and he makes everyone feel welcome, appreciated and at ease.

Marina Gongora

Loans Officer

Marina Gongora is our newest family member as she joined us on April 15, 2007 as our second Loan Officer. Although she has been with us for only a couple of months, her past fifteen years of working experience together with her paralegal certification make her an asset that is well received and was much needed with our rapidly growing loan portfolio. She is no stranger to our cause and our institution since she formed part of our Board of Directors for five years. She resigned with much reluctance from the Board to join our staff because she knows that she can have a much more positive impact in the quality of life of our shareholders at this level.

Emilia Moguel

Marketing/Public Relations

Emilia Moguel is our Marketing/Customer Relations representative and she has been with us for the past eight years. She used to perform cashiering when she first joined us but as we began to grow we saw the need for a specifically assigned person to ensure that our philosophy was being heard and spread and that the needs and wants of our members were being catered to. She visits schools to educate our young about the benefits of being thrifty and saving from an early age. She is very meticulous in all aspects of her job since her primary focus is to efficiently serve our shareholders.

Yolly Trejo

Senior Cashier

Yolly Trejo is our senior cashier and has formed a part of our family for the past seven years. She is responsible for the processing of payrolls which has enjoyed a significant increase over the past few years. She ensures that our shareholders have all their payments made and that their deposits are ready when they come in. Her commitment and dedication to her tasks are obvious and appreciated by all.

Ajiezer Samos

Cashier

Ajiezer Samos has been with the credit union for the past five years and he is one of our cashiers. As one of our front line persons, he has proven to be friendly, helpful and well-liked by our shareholders. He is also versed in computer skills and is our in-house technician when things go wrong. His interest and knowledge of computers and other electronic equipment are an asset to LICU.

Tanya Garcia

Cashier

Tanya Garcia is our newest cashier and she joined the LICU family on March 15, 2006. She came on board with enthusiasm since she has been a shareholder at LICU for some time. She had experienced first hand all the benefits and assistance offered by this honorable and reputable institution. She put nothing but her very best efforts in adapting to our system and our software to ensure that our shareholders are served promptly, courteously and efficiently. She is now a recognized and well liked staff member by both her peers and our shareholders.

Lucia Gonzalez

Customer Relations Officer

Lucia Gonzalez is the newest member of our staff. She joined LICU’s family on October 2008 as our Customer Relations Officer. Lucia came to us with a wealth of experience and immediately implemented her knowledge and expertise at LICU’s service. In a short while, she learnt the procedures and quickly became a familiar and well-liked face by both her co-workers and our shareholders. She is responsible for the Appointments/Information window where she opens accounts, gives appointments and answers any inquiries that our current and potential shareholders may have.

Hector Sabido

Loans Monitoring Officer

Hector Sabido, our Loans Monitoring Officer, began working with LICU on July 14, 2008. He immediately took up the enormous challenge that his job entailed head on with the conviction that he could and would make a positive difference in our Delinquency. His tireless efforts and consistent follow-up yielded the expected results and at the end of our financial year March 31, 2009, we realized a drastic and consistent decrease in our Delinquency. His approach is one of support and guidance as our main goal is to ensure that our members receive assistance in making the best arrangements as possible when they face challenging times.

Lerone Jacobs

Security Officer

Mr. Lerone Jacobs is a energetic young man that has a pleasant disposition and shares a passion for the credit union philosophy which is appreciated in his eagerness to be of assistance to all our shareholders. Mr. Jacobs main role is to safeguard our property, our offices, our personnel and most importantly, you, our shareholders. Even though his job demands that he be alert at all times, he takes time to open the door for our elderly and females with young babies courteously. He does a great job and indeed makes us feel safe and protected at all times.

George Lemione

Security Officer

Mr. George Lemoine is our Senior Security Officer and he comes to us with experience in the security field as a previous employee of KBH Security Systems and a past Police Constable. His charismatic and friendly approach to both the young and the old puts everyone at ease and is well known by everyone. Mr. Lemoine is on a first name basis with most of our shareholders and this adds to the sense of belonging that we all feel at LICU and makes everyone feel welcomed, appreciated, and protected. He also extends the courtesy of opening the door for the elderly and when needed even though it is not required of him.

Oscar Cawich

Cashier

On December 16, 2009, Oscar Cawich became one of our new tellers. Oscar Cawich is a proud graduate of Muffles Junior College and had been in the workforce for one year before being the successful candidate for this highly contested post. Oscar shows an aptitude for computers and this affinity will be quite useful as all LICU staff members are required to be highly cross functional. He is a courteous, polite, and respectful young man that displays a high level of responsibility that beguiles his young age. He has proven to be very friendly, helpful and considerate of both his co-workers and our shareholders. He is proud to be a part of LICU’s family and we look forward to his many contributions of this knowledge and time to assist our credit union and all our shareholders.

This added skill is an asset that will be put to much use during our many credit union activities. He comes from a family of strong credit unionists who taught him well in appreciating the many benefits and services that can be enjoyed by pooling resources. We are sure that you will all get to know and appreciate his friendly and efficient services for many years to come.

Edita Flores

Receptionist

Our receptionist, Edita Flores, is quickly becoming acquainted with the multi-faceted job that she undertook on December 14, 2009. This post is very instrumental in that Edita is responsible for sharing information, gathering all relevant information on inquiries, and following up on these issues to provide timely and accurate information to our membership at large. She is charged with the extremely important duty to maintain the channel of communication between our institution and our shareholders and the general public. Her past two years of experience as an Administrative Assistant coupled with her courses at Muffles Junior College provided an excellent foundation and have assisted her in performing her job courteously, professionally and efficiently. Although our organization is very complex and multi-faceted, she has been able to grasp our core values and philosophy quickly and easily as a long-standing member of LICU
